Community Support

We understand, there is a life before you lost a child and life afterwards. The new life brings with it uncertainty, fear, anger, sadness and much, much more. But you are not alone. In 2021, nearly 20,000 babies passed away in the United States alone. Even with so many people, you don’t know who to talk to; who to listen to or where to search for support. Your family, friends and peers may be wonderful, loving, and helpful, but chances are they have not faced what you are facing. Even the best partner may be grieving in a different way and not always the right person to confide in. Thankfully, there is somewhere to turn for help.

Our community support brings parents together online in different groups with similar loss experiences to help normalize feelings, share experiences, and grieve the death of their child in a private setting. They are open-ended and are free of cost.

Support groups are a community of people with a similar challenge who gather together to ask questions, share stories, knowledge, encouragement, and give emotional comfort. PFF has several private, moderated support groups.  Support groups come in many shapes and sizes. Some are larger online communities with many people to answer your questions.  Some are smaller and more intimate groups. You may want to check out a few groups to find ones that you are comfortable in or can relate to best.

    Terms of Use

Pierced Forever Foundation (“PFF”) is a nonprofit organization that provides grief support by connecting parents who have lost a child to other parents seeking support. PFF’s online support communities give each person seeking support a chance to ask personal questions and express their worries and frustrations, while receiving encouragement and support from others who are uniquely familiar with the challenges that they may face.

By requesting to be in the online communities (each Support Seeker referred to as a “Participant”) through PFF and/or www.piercedforever.org (the “website”), you expressly indicate that you understand and agree with the following:

    • The relationships established among any of the Participants are founded, and should be based, solely on psychosocial and emotional support and are not intended to be substitutes for professional treatment, advice or diagnosis. PFF may refer Support Seekers to other agencies if PFF personnel cannot find the appropriate match for the Support Seeker.
    • Members of the online support communities do not provide support as licensed medical or mental health/healthcare professionals. No Participant may recommend or endorse any specific medical or non-medical tests, physicians, products, procedures, opinions, or other information to another Participant or otherwise give “medical’ advice to another Participant. Further, no Participant should ever construe anything relayed to them by any other Participant as medical advice, recommendation or opinion. Under no circumstance should any Participant solicit or offer professional, financial, medical, or other similar advice or assistance from or to, respectively, another Participant.
    • The content on the website is only to be read and or used for informational purposes and is not intended to be a substitute for professional help or advice. If at any time you have reason to believe you or a loved one may have a medical emergency or feel that you or a loved one need medical attention, please either call 911, go to the emergency room, and/or call your or their doctor, as appropriate, immediately.
    • The information you provide to PFF will only be used as described in PFF’s Privacy Policy (www.piercedforever.org/privacy-policy) and you consent to all actions taken by PFF with respect to your information in compliance with PFF’s Privacy Policy.

We at Pierced Forever Foundation are excited that you have found your way to our support community and look forward to the relationship that we will share with you.
